Nigeria is well linked to other countries in West Africa by land, sea and air making it ideal to combine a visit to the country with other parts of the sub-region. Jemi-Alade Tours in collaboration with professional partners in other countries have put together tour programs that would provide a better taste of the entire sub-region. You will come away with varied sights and sounds that make West Africa a unique travel experience when you take part in any of these programs on offer.

Nigeria / Benin / Togo / Ghana

No four countries could provide a better taste of West Africa. From a tour of the bustling city of Lagos to slave fortress at Elmina castle in Ghana's Cape Coast, you will come away from this tour full of the varied sights and sounds that make West Africa a unique holiday experience. The four adjacent countries share the coastal waters of the Atlantic Ocean to the south and the Sahel vegetation zone to the North. Yet they are uniquely distinct, each harboring a flavor of Africa that is unmistakably their own. Your tour includes city tours of Lagos, Cotonou, Lome and Accra and Visits to popular tourist destinations in each country - Badagry, Quidah, Cape Coast & Elmina castles etc. Selected accommodation is one of the best in each destination.

The Slave Route Tours
This is a tour of the historic Slave Route in the former Oyo kingdom of the Yorubas, now part of southwest Nigeria and the Benin Republic. It is estimated that over 50% of slaves that were transported to the Americas passed through the area. Our tour traces the movement of slaves from the Yoruba heartland of Oyo North to ports of embarkation at Badagry, Porto Novo and Ouidah. A few years ago, the United Nations recognized the need to preserve important places along Africa's coastlines that played major roles in this terrible chapter of man's inhumanity to man. While most of the forts and prisons have not survived in Nigeria, the actual places are well known and efforts are being made to preserve them. You tour will take you through Lagos, Ibadan, Iseyin, Osogun, Badagry, Cotonou and Quidah. Selected accommodations are one of the best in each destination.
